Steve Jobs ผู้ก่อตั้งบริษัท Apple นั่นเอง ผมเองก็เป็นหนึ่งในแฟนผู้ใช้สินค้าของแก และ นำวิธีการคิด หรือ เทคนิคการพรีเซนท์ต่างๆของแกมาใช้หลายอย่างเหมือนกัน
เขาเองเป็นคนมหัศจรรย์ที่ผ่านอุปสรรคมากมายครับ เพราะน้อยคนมากในโลกนี้ที่โดนไล่ออกจากบริษัทที่ตัวเองตั้งขึ้น รวมถึงเป็นมะเร็ง แล้วจะลุกขึ้นมาสร้างสิ่งที่ยิ่งใหญ่ได้เหมือนกับเขา
วันนี้มีผู้คนมากมายพูดถึงเขา ผมเองก็ขอร่วมเป็นหนึ่งในนั้น ซึ่งโชคดีได้ไปอ่านเจอบทความที่น่าสนใจ เลยเอามาแปลให้ทุกๆคนอ่านกันเกี่ยวกับคำคม คำพูด และวลีเด็ดๆของ Steve Jobs ที่น่าสนใจครับ
หนึ่งในคำพูดที่ยังคงติดตราตรึงใจคนมากมาย ก็คือ
“Stay Hungry, Stay Foolish” หรือ
จงกระหาย และ ทำตัวโง่ให้ตลอดเวลา
เพราะถ้าเมื่อไหร่เราอิ่ม และ เรารู้สึกว่าตัวเองฉลาด เราจะไม่มีทางพัฒนา
นอกจากนั้นก็มี
- “Innovation distinguishes between a leader and a follower.”
นวัตกรรมแยกผู้นำกับผู้ตามออกจากกัน
นอกจากนั้นแล้ว Allthingsdigital https://allthingsd.com/ ก็ได้ทำการรวบรวมคำพูดอื่นๆมา
โดยสรุปแล้วผมจับใจความได้ว่า “ทำในสิ่งที่ตัวเองรัก ในทุกวันให้ดีที่สุด และจงเข้าใจมันให้ได้อย่างถ่องแท้เพื่อผลลัพธ์ที่ดีที่สุดสำหรับลูกค้า”
รายละเอียดจริงๆมีดังนี้ครับ
- “If Apple becomes a place where computers are a commodity item, where the romance is gone, and where people forget that computers are the most incredible invention that man has ever invented, I’ll feel I have lost Apple. But if I’m a million miles away, and all those people still feel those things … then I will feel that my genes are still there.”
ถ้า Apple เป็นที่ที่คอมพิวเตอร์กลายเป็นสิ่งที่ธรรมดา ความน่าตื่นตาหายไป และคนลืมไปว่า คอมพิวเตอร์คือสิ่งประดิษฐ์ที่มหัศจรรย์ที่สุดที่มนุษย์เคยรังสรรค์ขึ้นมา ผมคงรู้สึกว่าผมสูญเสีย Apple ไป แต่ถ้าผมอยู่ห่างออกไปแสนไกลแล้ว แต่คนยังรู้สึกแบบแบบนั้น (Apple ยังตื่นตาและรู้ว่าคอมพิวเตอร์คือสิ่งที่ดีที่สุด) ผมคงรู้สึกว่าพันธุกรรมของผมยังคงอยู่ที่นั่น

- “Sometimes when you innovate, you make mistakes. It is best to admit them quickly, and get on with improving your other innovations.”
ในบางครั้งเมื่อคุณสร้างนวัตกรรมคุณก็สร้างสิ่งที่ผิดพลาด สิ่งที่ดีที่สุดคือคุณยอมรับความผิดพลาดนั้นอย่างรวดเร็ว และ พัฒนามันในนวัตกรรมอื่นๆของคุณ
- “Be a yardstick of quality. Some people aren’t used to an environment where excellence is expected.”
จงเป็นมาตราฐานของคุณภาพ เพราะคนบางคนไม่ได้อยู่ในสิ่งแวดล้อมที่ความสุดยอดเป็นที่ต้องการ
- “My job is to not be easy on people. My job is to make them better.”
หน้าที่ของผมไม่ใช่การทำตัวดีกับผู้คน หน้าที่ของผมคือช่วยให้พวกเขาดีขึ้น
- “When you’re a carpenter making a beautiful chest of drawers, you’re not going to use a piece of plywood on the back, even though it faces the wall and nobody will ever see it. You’ll know it’s there, so you’re going to use a beautiful piece of wood on the back. For you to sleep well at night, the aesthetic, the quality, has to be carried all the way through.”
เมื่อคุณเป็นช่างไม้ที่สร้างตู้ลิ้นชักที่สวยงาม คุณคงจะไม่ใช้แค่ไม้อัดที่ด้านหลัง ถึงแม้ว่ามันจะอยู่ติดกับกำแพงและไม่มีใครจะเห็นมัน แต่คุณเองที่รู้ว่ามันอยู่ตรงนั้น ดังนั้นจงใช้ชิ้นไม้ที่สวยในด้านหลังเช่นกัน เพื่อจะทำให้คุณหลับสบายตอนกลางคืน เพราะความสวยงามและคุณภาพจะต้องดำเนินตลอดไป
- “People think focus means saying yes to the thing you’ve got to focus on. But that’s not what it means at all. It means saying no to the hundred other good ideas that there are. You have to pick carefully.”
คนส่วนใหญ่คิดว่าความตั้งใจหมายถึงการพูดว่า ใช่ ในสิ่งที่คุณสนใจ แต่มันไม่ใช่เลย มันหมายถึงการปฏิเสธไอเดียดีๆอื่นอีกหลายร้อยแบบที่มี คุณจะต้องเลือกทำอย่างระมัดระวัง
- “My position coming back to Apple was that our industry was in a coma. It reminded me of Detroit in the ’70s, when American cars were boats on wheels.”

- “Being the richest man in the cemetery doesn’t matter to me. Going to bed at night saying we’ve done something wonderful, that’s what matters to me.”

- “Innovation has nothing to do with how many R&D dollars you have. When Apple came up with the Mac, IBM was spending at least 100 times more on R&D. It’s not about money. It’s about the people you have, how you’re led, and how much you get it.”

- “When I was 17, I read a quote that went something like: ‘If you live each day as if it was your last, someday you’ll most certainly be right.’ It made an impression on me, and since then, for the past 33 years, I have looked in the mirror every morning and asked myself: ‘If today were the last day of my life, would I want to do what I am about to do today?’ And whenever the answer has been ‘No’ for too many days in a row, I know I need to change something.”
ตอนผมอายุ 17 ผมอ่านคำคมที่เกี่ยวกับว่า จงใช้ชีวิตในทุกวันให้เหมือนวันนี้เป็นวันสุดท้ายแล้วซักวันหนึ่งคุณจะอยู่ ในตำแหน่งที่ถูกต้อง นั่นทำให้ผมประทับใจและจดจำ ตั้งแต่วันนั้นผ่านมา 33 ปี ผมดูตัวเองในกระจกทุกเช้าแล้วถามตัวเอง ถ้าวันนี้เป็นวันสุดท้ายของผม ผมอยากจะทำอะไรในวันนี้ที่ต้องทำหรือไม่ และ ถ้าในกระจกตอบว่าไม่หลายวันติดกัน ผมก็รุ้แล้วว่าผมต้องเปลี่ยนแปลงอะไรบางอย่าง
- “Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma — which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.”

- “I get asked a lot why Apple’s customers are so loyal. It’s not because they belong to the Church of Mac! That’s ridiculous. It’s because when you buy our products, and three months later you get stuck on something, you quickly figure out [how to get past it]. And you think, ‘Wow, someone over there at Apple actually thought of this!’”

Remembering that you are going to die is the best way I know to avoid the trap of thinking you have something to lose. You are already naked. There is no reason not to follow your heart.”
