Google to Give Free Wi-fi at Airports
Google is giving U.S. air passengers a holiday present of free Internet services. The offer is for travellers who fly from 47 American airports between November 17th and January 15th. Google also said it would provide the Internet on Virgin Atlantic flights over the holiday season. Many people think Google is being very generous. However, computer experts warn people to be careful. A wireless connection is very convenient, but it is also dangerous. It is easy for hackers to steal data from computers that are not password protected.
What Google is doing is what the world will be like soon. One day, there will be free Internet connections everywhere in the world. People will not have to pay for the Internet. That will change how we live. Everyone will be connected all the time. This is a great thing. We will have information at our fingertips any time we need it. It’s difficult to imagine how this will change our world. Our lives will be quite different. Maybe students will study at home, with the teacher on a video screen and their classmates as avatars. All of this change will be very exciting.
