Yacolt, Wasington - A man who was showing off for friends by kissing his new rattlesnake was bitten on the lip and almost died.Matt George, 21, was hospitalised in criticalcondition after the weekend incident and two days later his condition had been upgraded to serious.
The man had been showing friends the snake he had caught on a recent trip to Arizona. Holding the half-meter rattler behind the head, he kissed it.
"I said, 'OK, man, you're being stupid, put it away'," recalled friend Jim Roban.
"He said: 'It's OK, I doo it all the time'," Mr. Roban said.
After the second kiss, the snake bit him under his moustache. He dropped the snake on the kitchen floor and Mr. Roban kill him with his boot.
