แม่นี้มีบุญคุณอันใหญ่หลวง
Mothers are tremendous benefactor for all of us.
ที่เฝ้าหวงห่วงลูกแต่หลังเมื่อยังนอนเปล
Mothers keep caring since we were sleeping in cradles.
แม่เราเฝ้าโอ้ละเห่
Mothers keep singing lullabies for babies
กล่อมลูกน้อยนอนเปลไม่ห่างหันเห ไปจนไกล
and never leave them anywhere.
เมื่อเล็กจนโตโอ้แม่ถนอม
Since we were still young until today, mothers always care of us
แม่ผ่ายผอมย่อมเกิดจากรักลูกปักดวงใจ
She is so tired that becomes thin because she loves her baby a lot.
เติบ โตโอ้เล็กจนใหญ่
We all grow up today,
นี่แหละหนาอะไร มิใช่ใดหนาเพราะค่าน้ำนม
not because of anything else than mothers' milk.

and you'll find that Mother's milk cannot be compared with anything.

Mother,I miss the value of your milk that feeds me
เลือดในอกผสม กลั่นเป็นน้ำนมให้ลูกดื่มกิน
It was mixed with blood in your heart and then becomes milk for baby.
ค่าน้ำนมควรชวนให้ลูกฝัง
The value of it reminds me of appreciation
แต่เมื่อหลังเปรียบดังผืนฟ้าหนักกว่าแผ่นดิน
It is comparable to the sky and heavier than the earth.

No matter you will ordain or complete your study for her
หยดหนึ่งน้ำนมกิน ทดแทนไม่สิ้นพระคุณแม่เอย
stil it cannot compare to the one drop of her milk. Nothing can indemnify it.

Mother's Day is a special holiday to honor mothers and grandmothers. Mother’ Day is celebrated at various times throughout the world. While countries like US, India, Denmark, Finland, Italy, Turkey and Australia celebrate Mother's Day on the second Sunday of May, there are others, like UK and Ireland, which celebrate it on the fourth Sunday in the month of Lent. There are yet other countries, like Mexico, which celebrate Mother’ Day on 10th of May, every year. In Thailand we celebrate on 12th of August which is the Queen's birthday and she repesents Mother of Thai people. Adult children usually take their mothers to a restaurant for breakfast or lunch. Younger children often cook breakfast for their mothers on Mother's Day. Mothers receive flowers, cards, and gifts on this special day. Remember to tell your mom that you love her on Mother's Day.
