การจัดกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้ทักษะการอ่านภาษาอังกฤษ
จากเพลงคนขอนแก่น เป็นเพลงที่แสดงถึงความภูมิใจของชาวดินแดนที่ราบสูงเมืองดอกคูณเสียงแคน เพื่อให้นักเรียนได้เรียนรู้และตระหนักถึงรากเง้าถิ่นกำเนิดและภูมิใจในท้องถิ่นของตนเอง ในฐานะครูผู้สอนจึงได้นำเนื้อเรื่องเกี่ยวกับจังหวัดขอนแก่น
มาใช้นการจัดกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้ภาษาอังกฤษ โดยเฉพาะทักษะการอ่านจับใจความ เพื่อให้นักเรียนได้ฝึกการอ่าน และเรียนรู้คำศัพท์ต่างๆที่เกี่ยวข้องกับจังหวัดของตนเอง ดังต่อไปนี้
กลุ่มสาระการเรียนรู้ภาษาอังกฤษ ชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 3
สาระที่ ๓ ภาษากับความสัมพันธ์กับกลุ่มสาระการเรียนรู้อื่น
มาตรฐาน ต 3.1 ใช้ภาษาต่างประเทศในการเชื่อมโยงความรู้กับกลุ่มสาระการเรียนรู้อื่น และเป็นพื้นฐานในการพัฒนา แสวงหาความรู้ และเปิดโลกทัศน์ของตน
Activity
1. ครูอ่านเรื่องให้นักเรียนฟังสองรอบ
2. ให้นักเรียนอ่านเนื้อเรื่องหนึ่งรอบจากนั้นครูให้นักเรียนปิดเนื่อเรื่อง
3. ครูให้นักเรียนฟังเรื่องที่ครูอ่านโดยครูอ่านจากเนื้อเรื่องจากข้อมูลที่เป็นจริงให้นักเรียนฟังแล้วให้นักเรียนแก้ไขข้อมูลที่ผิดให้เป็นจริง
4. ให้นักเรียนทำใบงานโดยจัดกิจกรรมเติมประโยคและข้อความที่หายไป

Located in the heart of northeast region of Thailand (Isaan), this community was experiencing one of the fastest growth rates in Thailand until the baht was devalued in 1997.
In the last several years, construction has restarted within the city, including the widening of Mitaprahp Road on the West side of Khon Kaen (Highway 2 Bangkok-Nong Khai).
The present population of the city is around 150,000. The city also hosts the largest university in the North East, Khon Kaen University.
