Scissors-paper-stone
‘ Scissors-paper-stone’ is a game that is played all over the world by children and adults alike. The game is played by two people. After the count of 1, 2, 3, both players extend their hands in a certain shape. A fist represents the stone. A flat hand represents a piece of paper and the first two fingers apart is the symbol for scissors. The stone wins by blunting the scissors. The scissors win by cutting the paper and the paper wins by wrapping the stone.
In Indonesia, the same game is played with different gestures and symbols. An extended thumb is an elephant, a single forefinger is a human being, and an extended little finger is an ant. The elephant crushes the human being and the human being crushes the ant. The ant wins by killing the elephant by climbing its trunk ! If you are really inventive, you could come up with your own gestures and symbols.
